Have You Seen My Mojo?

Please excuse my blogging silence, I haven’t felt 100% this week and as a result have done very little other than keep the kids entertained or at least alive over the past few days.

I haven’t really felt up to blogging recently, I don’t feel that there’s an awful lot for me to share as of late. I’ve found myself writing numerous posts filled with torrid rants regarding issues which shouldn’t really be shared online or offline for that matter which has resulted in me refraining from hitting the ‘publish’ button many times over.

Rather than ranting, raving or writing recklessly I’d far prefer to publish positive, humorous, informative posts which will interest my readers rather than send them running for the hills.…

Dear John

We are once again at the end of another weekend, it won’t be long before the summer holidays are upon us and weekdays will blur into weekends as we take a well-deserved rest from the regular routine.

I have always been a sucker for routine, I like to know when, where and what I’m doing and whilst I welcome the holidays I must admit that I find the lack of routine sets me on edge somewhat. A Rainy Day Rant

Well the sunshine has packed up its bags and naffed off back to wherever it came from. The rain has returned forcing us back indoors which is becoming rather frustrating for both E and I given that last week we were out and about having fun down at the park and going for walks on the beach.

Ah well, we will have to suffice with board games, play dough, baking, painting, crafting and good old Disney DVD’s until the sunshine makes a come back. I actually quite enjoy sitting at the table playing games with the kids despite having to rig the games by hook or by crook so that the kids get to win.…

I Am What I Choose To Become

I have so much to do that I don’t even know where to begin! I seem to have endless lists of random odd jobs dotted around the house and at some point in the next twenty-four hours I need to get my backside into gear and get organised.

The weather isn’t playing ball for the summer holidays and I am constantly trying to find indoor activities for the kids to be getting on with as one moment it’s dry and the garden is in full use and the next the heavens open and we are all back indoors getting the board games out.…

Jack of All Trades, Master of Jack Shizz

It has been a rough couple of years for me in terms of my career, since being made redundant back in 2011 I have bumbled along doing what I need to do for myself and my family to get by. There isn’t a great amount of opportunities in terms of employment within our local area, so I’ve tried to stick with what I know in terms of part-time jobs, sometimes it might be teaching and at other times it might be pulling pints behind the local bar. Mainly though, I have tried to make positive use of the time by simply enjoying parenthood.…
