It was my husband’s birthday earlier this week and along with baking and eating a gigantic chocolate cake, we celebrated by enjoying a family day out in Maryport. We’ve been intending on taking the kids to a climbing wall for a few years now but we were never too sure whether E would be up for the action. Welcome to this week’s #MySundaySnapshot post, which is part of a snap-sharing-blog-linky series that you are very welcome to join. Despite the cooling, crisp, winter air, I’ve spent the majority of this weekend either fanning myself from overheating or hugging a hot water bottle to try and get warm – oh the joys of hormones in your late thirties! Thankfully my husband has been an absolute hero and not only did he take the kids out for a few hours of fresh air at the beach (which is where…
Whilst we’d planned to spend the day celebrating at the Sandcastle with the kids, Blackpool was put on the back burner following a restless night with our little lady. Poor E still isn’t herself, she’s struggling with a nasty cough and to be honest it’s just as well as Paul seems to have come down with some sort of stomach bug. There is no job too big and no job too difficult for Paul when it comes to his Daddy duties. Ever since day one when I first found out that I was expecting our beautiful boy J, Paul has been there by my side sharing…
It’s official, my hubby is only five years away from hitting the big 4-0, that said it won’t be long before I join him in being thirty-five years young. As expected and deserved, Paul has been spoilt rotten with gifts and goodies galore. He woke first thing this morning to a pile of cards and presents (one of which happened to be from our rather haggard, old basset hound but I won’t go into detail upon that). After making himself comfortable with a coffee on the couch Paul was then inundated with presents which the kids took great pleasure in…
