Can you believe that it’s May already? Time seems to be flying by of late and already we are almost halfway through the year, yet I’m still getting to grips with writing ‘2021’ rather than ‘2020’! Whilst we’ve been incredibly lucky to have been able to enjoy almost a month of non-stop glorious sunshine, the weather sadly broke this weekend and as a result, it’s been heaving down with rain for the past ten hours or so and it doesn’t look set to change anytime soon. It’s a bit of a shame as with it being the bank holiday weekend…

So here we are at the end of half-term, my goodness me this week sure has flown by. Given Bojo’s recent lockdown announcement I’m not too keen on the idea of returning to the regular routine. I guess we must ‘crack on’, knuckle down and do our best, though how the heck our routine childcare arrangements with school pickups and drop-offs are going to work I have absolutely no idea as I can longer ask my Mother-in-law to do her daily duties. I guess it’ll be what it’ll be and workplaces, businesses, and such-like will just have to be understanding…
It’s most definitely been a soggy Sunday! We’ve had non-stop rain for the past twenty-four hours and whilst I’d usually suggest that it’s the weather for ducks – I’m pretty sure that even they are fed up with the forecast! To be honest, I wasn’t all that fussed as I didn’t really feel like getting wet today, I didn’t really feel like doing much of anything other than…
Oh, how I adore our hound; she is the sweetest, cutest, most loving, furry beast I have ever met. However, being a basset hound she is genetically programmed to cause chaos and there are times when I could quite happily string her up, yesterday being one of them… Lazy Maisy My husband and I are very rarely ‘child-free’, thus when the opportunity arises we get out and make the most of the time together. Having been relieved of our parenting duties, we set off out to town to attend an opticians appointment and to collect the final presents for E’s…
Once the kids have snuggled into their beds and sound asleep, Paul and I settle on the sofa with snacks, drinks, and the dog… There’s nothing quite like having hugs with the hound following a busy day, she may be rather slobbery and incredibly hairy but I couldn’t care less- she’s adorable! Each and every evening Maisy hops onto the couch and snuggles herself into my feet, she will then slowly but surely crawl further upon me, often making it completely impossible to see or to watch the television at all. Our house wouldn’t be our home without the presence…
