I’m not a huge fan of November, not only is it one of the most miserable months of the year weather-wise, it’s historically been the month for tragedies and loss within our family, and whilst I’d hoped to avoid such sorrows this year, sadly that’s not the case. Looking on the brighter side, which is difficult to do with all the short days and lengthy dark nights, here are a few of the things that we, as a family, have #LikedandLoved throughout the month. Fun Watching Fireworks Bonfire Night was thankfully a clear, dry evening and we celebrated the event…

How is it that kids can go from being distraught to delighted in a matter of minutes? Honestly, I spent almost the entire day worrying myself sick as poor J had got himself into a bit of a tizzy over a bus journey. Thankfully the kids seem to…
As I said in my previous post, weekends simply aren’t long enough! It doesn’t matter how hard we try to get everything done and dusted there’s always appointments, places to be and things to do either in or out of the house. If I were to list of all the things that we do over the weekend, I’d either bore you to tears or waste quite a few sheets of A4 paper. I am well aware that our schedule is a little squeezed over the weekend yet the kids are quite happy to muck in and to do their bit.…
It doesn’t feel as if it has only been a week since the kids returned back to school, we seem to have fallen back into routine with ease. As always, we spent our Sunday afternoon completing homework before sharing a board game. Both J & E have become so accustomed to having homework, there are never any complaints nor fussing, they just get on with it! Sharing A Story Spelling Investigation The kids seem to enjoy and respect having structure in their life. We may have a rigid-ish routine but these are our ‘Ordinary Moments’. I’m aware that I may…
