And just like that, my husband turned the grand age of forty. Paul was woken with cards and gifts including new Etnie shoes, new Croc slippers, a bottle of his beloved Jack Daniels, a huge box of beers, a Toblerone, and a large bar of Mini Egg Chocolate. We later celebrated with an evening sharing a takeaway with family and Paul got to blow out his candles (and the signage on his cake as I somehow managed to set that alight whilst carrying the masterpiece to the table) We plan to continue the celebrations by visiting the Chill Factor for…
happy birthday
2021 is a big year for our family as three of our parents have turned 65 this year and today it’s my Mum’s turn! Though I know that Mum isn’t entirely happy nor comfortable with the idea of being in her sixties, nevermind having to celebrate the mid-way point of turning ’65’. To celebrate, I decorated the house with bunting, a large helium balloon, and birthday decor. I then made Mum a ‘high tea’ alongside a cake fit for a queen. We then scoffed our faces before hopping into the hot tub for a few hours. I just wish that…
As our beautiful boy is about to turn the grand age of ten, we have spent almost the entire weekend celebrating. We’ve obviously partied a little too hard as the kids are both worn out: E came down with some sort of sickness bug last night and J barely has a voice left thus they are both in bed early tonight. Whilst we’d planned to spend the day celebrating at the Sandcastle with the kids, Blackpool was put on the back burner following a restless night with our little lady. Poor E still isn’t herself, she’s struggling with a nasty cough and to be honest it’s just as well as Paul seems to have come down with some sort of stomach bug. It hasn’t been the best birthday for Paul this year, he’s told me as such which makes me feel pretty bad but I’m no doctor so what can I do?! I’m not entirely impressed with having spent the past…
It’s official, my hubby is only five years away from hitting the big 4-0, that said it won’t be long before I join him in being thirty-five years young. As expected and deserved, Paul has been spoilt rotten with gifts and goodies galore. He woke first thing this morning to a pile of cards and presents (one of which happened to be from our rather haggard, old basset hound but I won’t go into detail upon that). After making himself comfortable with a coffee on the couch Paul was then inundated with presents which the kids took great pleasure in…
