So here we are at the end of February already. Time seems to be slipping by like sand through my fingers of late but I guess that’s life, especially so when you’re a working and very busy parent. February may be a short month but blimey it was busy! Especially so for the kids with their studies, school, after-school clubs, activities, appointments, and suchlike. Thankfully we had the half-term holidays mid-month so we were able to switch off the alarm and relax for a few days. We ordered and received E’s new bedroom furniture, all of which arrived flat-packed and…

The kids are currently out at the cinema watching the latest Spiderman movie with their Dad, whilst I’ve spent the past few hours getting myself sorted for the week ahead. Whilst Paul, J and I return to school tomorrow, E is a lucky so and so as she has an extra day off before starting back for the spring term. Speaking of E, she was royally spoilt at Christmas with almost an entirely new wardrobe, and two dazzling dress-up outfits including this beautiful blue ‘Princess Anna’ dress from the Frozen movie franchise. She’s quite literally had an ‘all singing all…
I feel as if we’ve been confined to our four-wall fortress for the past week, though given that J isn’t feeling entirely himself at present, there’s very little else that we could do. Digital distractions have made this week so much easier for our little man and at present, I’m willing to go with…

Click here for further information and guidelines upon this linky should you wish to take part. Despite the sniffly noses and hacking coughs, we got ourselves out to the local Dickensian Festival this weekend. Having finally found a parking space we tootled into town to take a look at the local stalls and shops. Paul and I had a mulled wine or two whilst the kids enjoyed the fairground rides and attractions which were dotted around the town. Once we’d seen everything we felt we…
With only a fortnight to go before both School and Nursery break up for the summer holidays it seems that there is an endless string of dates for the diary all of which I have pencilled into my planner and will try my very best to attend. There is only so much this Mother can do though and whilst I fully respect the efforts which go into my children’s education I can only wangle so much into my week. It wont be long before I’m without routine and able to go with the flow a little more but until then…
