It’s been a bit of a whirlwind of a month, July is always fairly frantic but this year it seems especially so as we’ve been juggling a series of schedules all of which have been action-packed. Talk about rainy day activities, we’ve done nothing but this week… we’ve played games, read books, baked cookies, coloured pictures, built Lego models, pieced together puzzles and painted all sorts of stuff. E has been after painting her unicorn model since she was given it back at Christmas and why not with the weather as it has been? This little lady has such a steady hand and concentrates so deeply whilst painting. It certainly kept her quiet for a fair few hours and isn’t entirely finished yet! My husband Paul is a keen artist, he uses a range of media to create cartoons which are based on our children. Paul is hugely talented in the Arts and can often be found sat sketching, colouring or tweaking images on his laptop. Paul has sketch books full of ideas which he begins in pencil, he then moves on to using fine line pens and later transfers his work over to his laptop to colour, shade and add further details to. It’s a fairly long process but he seems to really enjoy bringing the kids to life in comic format. …
