#MySundaySnapshot – A Splendid Saturday 03/52 (2019)

Welcome to another #MySundaySnapshot post, a blog-linky series simply to share snapshots that you are more than welcome to join. Click here for further information and guidelines upon this linky should you wish to take part.

I woke to a bright and beautiful day; the fields were a luscious green under the glow of the early winter sunshine. Other than a few fluffy, white clouds, blue skies prevailed – this set me into a fabulous mood for what would be a super, sunny Saturday.

Whilst Paul took J for a much-needed haircut, E and I got on with the usual clearing and cleaning around the house.…

Plate Juggling & Prioritising

Life is hectic at present; I don’t often get the chance to sit and to write much of anything these days, apologies therefore if you may have found my blog to be a little bland of late. If I’m not busy working (which I’ve never been happier to do) then I’m either running around getting the kids or the house into shape, either that or chauffeuring one or the other child to or from their various after-school activities.

Don’t get me wrong, I much prefer being busy to feeling at a loose end; I am far happier when my mind is occupied than at rest.…

#LivingArrows – Manic Monday 7/52 (2019)

It hasn’t been the most relaxed nor restful start to the half term holidays. I spent this morning visiting the A&E department for a second set of X-rays to assess the damage done during a fall earlier last week, meanwhile Paul took the dog to the vets (where she was being spayed and having a lump removed from her head) then left the kids with my folks before rushing off to take the Mini for a service.

Having established that the fracture is in fact ripped ligaments, I then made my way to Tesco where I played trolley dash before meeting up with Paul and heading towards Asda for a bite to eat.…

Weary Weekends

This week has been one of the most fast-paced and fraught weeks that I have had in some time, I’d like to think that this week may be slightly easier but I’d be kidding myself if I considered that option. Already we have appointments, playdates, clubs and activities planned for almost every evening this week, that and E has a party to attend at the weekend.

I swear that these children of ours have far better social lives than us adults could ever dream of, saying that Paul and I enjoyed a child-free evening last night, though I was flagging somewhat and despite promising that I’d dance my pins off, we left rather early and I found myself flopped with a pizza and yet another episode of Friends – that was more than enough to keep me entertained!…

Who Knows What The Future Holds

It’s so unlike me to be away from the blog for so long, I cannot express how busy I have been over the past week, I simply haven’t had the time to do anything other than work, chores and to take care of the kids. Other than a thirty-minute window in which I chose to chill out with some tunes whilst mixing at my decks, I’ve literally not stopped.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m loving life at present and am very much enjoying my new role and the challenges which it presents, but due to the fact that my time is limited blogging has taken a back seat for the time being.…
