My little lady loves baking and she has certainly been busy with her mixing bowl, weighing scales, and wooden spoon over the past fortnight. E has made batches of Anglo Saxon style Griddle biscuits (oat biscuits which we semi-adapted into melting moments) and she was keen to assist with the making and baking of my husband’s birthday cake. After a six-week hard slog, it’s the final week of homeschool before half term finally arrives and we can all take a much-needed break from the books. Though things seem somewhat easier this week, we’ve still been busy ‘zipping and zooming’ around getting as much as we can done and dusted, whilst ensuring that the kids attend their required online meetings and complete the work which has been set. It’s been a big week or two for E as she has lost not one but both of her front teeth. It wasn’t easy either as each and every mealtime she’d struggle with tooth-trauma and there were tears, oh there were tears! She has, however, had two rather special visits from the tooth fairy (who apparently pays big bucks for front teeth) and as a result, E is now “rich” or so she thinks at least… Thankfully now the teeth are out our little lady is pain-free and gappy happy!
