With E returning to school this morning our regular routine has now returned and we are all ‘back to the grindstone for the next seven weeks or so. Though summer is officially out, the weather obviously hasn’t received the memo as we are set to bask in a September heatwave at some point this week. I love the freedom that the summer holidays bring, the freedom to ditch the routine in favour of whatever you fancy. I half expected for the kids to sleep in most mornings but no matter whether they go to bed early, late or at the usual time, their body clocks seem to be stuck in school mode.
