#TheOrdinaryMoments – The House of Hound

Oh, how I adore our hound; she is the sweetest, cutest, most loving, furry beast I have ever met. However, being a basset hound she is genetically programmed to cause chaos and there are times when I could quite happily string her up, yesterday being one of them…

Lazy Maisy

My husband and I are very rarely ‘child-free’, thus when the opportunity arises we get out and make the most of the time together.

Having been relieved of our parenting duties, we set off out to town to attend an opticians appointment and to collect the final presents for E’s upcoming birthday.…

#TheOrdinaryMoments – The Bouncing Basset

Prior to Maisy (our beloved but batty basset hound), we had Molly – our first basset hound, the basset that set the boundaries, the basset that put us in our place and truly introduced us to the breed; the good, the bad, the ugly and the downright bizarre!

Second time around, therefore, we were fairly sure that nothing would surprise us, the basset hound is a creature like no other and we were fully expecting Maisy to be just like Molly in the levels of mayhem and madness only she isn’t… shes a whole different kettle of fish – or should I say dog?…

#LivingArrows – The Little Things 27/52 (2019)

More often than not it’s the little things which matter the most in life, the little things which you enjoy, the little things which you love and the little things which get you through each day…

Happy 1st Birthday To Maisy, Our Beautiful Basset Hound.

One year to this day our beautiful basset-hound Maisy was born. Whilst it was a further eight weeks until Maisy came to live with us, I still clearly remember receiving the text to let us know that our puppy had been born.

Paul and I were visiting our tazzy pals at their house, where we shared a variety of amazing curries whilst having a barrel of laughs as we played games, shared stories and emptied many bottles of wine. The text came shortly after we sat ourselves at the table, I was barely able to contain myself as I learnt that our puppy had arrived, Paul and I knew exactly what we were signing ourselves up for and we couldn’t wait!…

#MySundayPhoto – Our Beautiful Bassets First Day Of Freedom

Today marked our beautiful basset hound Maisy’s first official day of freedom, following having her final injections earlier this week. To celebrate we took Maisy out to the in-laws for a Sunday roast and a run around the garden. The weather was incredible, as is my sun burn this evening!

Maisy had oodles of fun running around the garden, soaking up the sunshine and foraging through the flowers. I tried to take as many pictures as possible but with it being her first time out and about she couldn’t seem to sit still. Most of my snaps turned out either blurry or to be missing half a dog, never the less I somehow managed to snap this shot using the cluster function on my phone.…
