May has been the month of change, both in terms of the weather and in terms of circumstances. E sat her dreaded SAT exams, followed shortly by her Cyclewise course both of which I’m almost certain that she aced. J, meanwhile spent weeks on end revising like a demon for his RE GCSE examinations which he the completed and I’m sure he will have excelled in. E’s amazing artwork was featured in a local exhibition and whilst on our travels to view said masterpieces, we dropped E’s beloved flute off with the local ‘music man’ for a service and repair. Welcome to this week’s #MySundaySnapshot post, which is part of a snap-sharing-blog-linky series that you are very welcome to join. Click here for further information and guidelines upon this linky should you wish to take part. One thing I love about our household is that each and every one of us is crazy creative and artistic in our own way. Paul is an incredibly talented artist and he’s forever making his various comics which he shares online. Meanwhile, J enjoys drawing, animating, making his own music, and combining his love for coding to create a plethora of online games and videos which he shares via …
It’s been a bit of a whirlwind of a month, July is always fairly frantic but this year it seems especially so as we’ve been juggling a series of schedules all of which have been action-packed. I’ve got to …
Having spent an hour clearing the clutter and cleaning what was once our summer house (before E acquired it as her beloved art studio) we’ve since reorganised, repainted, and redesigned her studio space with new furniture and a new look… E couldn’t wait to put her new desk and newly painted ‘art studio’ to use by base coating and decorating her block letters to add to the wall for display. Never mind the summer evenings that Paul and I had planned lazing in our splendid summerhouse with a glass of wine or two, it’s far better being a space for …
Our kids sure take after us in terms of being arty – both J and E are super arty and love to draw, paint, colour, design, and even animate their ideas and work. Whilst I’m forever moaning about the endless cleaning, tidying, and purchasing of their art supplies, I couldn’t be a prouder parent. What better way is there to relax and have fun than to get out the paints and make pretty pictures? Thank you for reading and as always, I look forward to catching up with your #LivingArrows either through your own posts or comments on this post.
