So here we are at the end of the half term – it doesn’t feel as if we’ve had a fortnight off probably because we we’ve been so blooming busy!
Over the past two weeks we’ve had some lovely days of out together as a family, we’ve hosted playdates, we’ve celebrated Paul’s birthday and we’ve attended an array of appointments all whilst keeping on top of the housework and sticking to some kind of routine.
J & E have entertained themselves with colouring, comic creation and crafts when we haven’t been busy running errands or out and about. They’ve finally reached an age where I could take a comic, a colouring pad and some pens and pencils along with us and it would be enough to keep them happy for an hour or so.
I too have spent time with pens, pencils and paints as after two years or more of having the ‘same old logo’, I finally found the time to give my blog a makeover (as you may have noticed should you be a returning reader). It’s certainly true, an artist never feels that their work is truly finished; I created over fifty-odd designs, until I finally stuck with this one. It still doesn’t feel entirely correct but I could spend forever being arty-farty and still be unsatisfied.
I’ve spent the past few hours on the telephone organising yet more appointments and errands for the upcoming six or so weeks. I never seem to catch a break and when the holidays finally come around they fly by far too fast. On that note I’m off to enjoy a deep bubble-bath and to make the most of the weekend before we are ‘back at it’ on Monday.
