I often find myself seeking seasonal Tarot decks (either in theme or colour) whilst selecting decks from which to cast my daily Tarot readings thus I was delighted to receive the Winter Magic Tarot earlier this week.
Who Is Deckstiny?
Based in Thailand, Deckstiny first came about in 2020 when they released their first indy Tarot Deck – The Shuffle Tarot A & B. Formerly known as ‘Shuffle Tarot’, Deckstiny is a team collaboration of Mate Horonumber, Oomsin Phumphat, and a number of other artists and contributors including Jujiir.
Over time Deckstiny, alongside its contributing artists, has designed and produced a wide selection of divination decks, all of which are available to purchase Worldwide via their Etsy shop.
The Winter Magic Tarot
Designed and created by Deckstiny, the Winter Magic Tarot is a seasonal sensation which I cannot wait to use throughout the winter months.
Presentation & Packaging
Ideal for Tarot readers that wish to store or display their deck, The Winter Magic Tarot is perfectly packaged in a cute, colourful, sturdy, cardboard box.
In the past Deckstinys decks would often arrive in simple, slim tuck boxes. These would often rip when opened or become misshapen and dishevelled with use over time. Thankfully the flimsy packaging is a thing of the past as Deckstinys latest releases all seem to be housed in more durably designed boxes.
The Cards
Featuring pale powder blue card backs with stunning snowflakes, icicles, and wintry decor, the Winter Magic Tarot is ideal for both upright and reversed readings due to its symmetrical design.
This delightful deck has stunning silver-foil, sparkly edging and with its matt-coated finish, 350 GSM Arts Card stock is super smooth to shuffle and work with.
Bonus Certification & Art Cards
The Winter Magic Tarot comes with five additional cards; a certification card identifying the precise number and edition of the deck (Deckstiny only print a limited number of decks and each one of their decks includes a certification card), a winters poem art card, a note card, a support card, and a Winter-themed Happy Squirrel card which some readers may wish to add to their general readings.
The Major Arcana
Perfect in pale blues, purples, pinks, and white, the Winter Magic Tarot follows the setup (including titling, suits, and figures) from the traditional Rider Waite Smith Tarot.
The cartoon-based imagery feels similar in style to that of Disney’s Frozen franchise. Whilst Elsa, Anna, Olaf and the many characters from the popular franchise aren’t necessarily featured in this deck, it would be easy to imagine them within the cards due to the art style.
The Minor Arcana
Though modern in style, the Winter Magic Tarot uses the traditional RWS suits of Wands, Cups, Swords, and Pentacles alongside the well-established court card figures of Page, Knight, Queen, and King.
The minor arcana of this delightful deck is as rich in detail and imagery as the major arcana and the wintry colours continue to run throughout the entirety of the deck.

In order to further illustrate and explain the Winter Magic Tarot, I have put together a short video walk-through.
Reading & Working With The Winter Magic Tarot
It’s been a joy working and reading with the Winter Magic Tarot. This winter wonder has a real sense of fun and frivolity through its adorable artwork. I have found readings to be clear, concise and informative. The easy-to-interpret imagery is whimsical, cute and ideal for younger readers.
The Winter Magic Tarot seems to work really well when paired with other pastel-coloured decks, I can’t wait to make further use of this deck this winter.
Purchasing & Pricing Information
The Winter Magic Tarot is available to purchase online via Deckstiny’s Etsy store. Retailing at £56.55 (with an additional postage charge of £35.35 within the UK), the Winter Magic Tarot is part of Deckstiny’s four-seasons project.
To Summarise
