As a family we are quite into puzzles especially in the jigsaw form. Whilst we are fairly of-fey with 2D puzzles we’ve only ever encountered 3D puzzles once before prior to receiving the ‘Ravensburger Big Ben 3D Jigsaw‘ that we were recently to sent to piece together and to review.
The Ravensburger Big Ben 3D Jigsaw Puzzle
The Ravensburger Big Ben 3D Jigsaw Puzzle features 216 individual pieces all of which are made from plastic and are fairly sturdy to work with. The puzzle measures 41cm in height when complete and is in actual fact a scale model of Big Ben.
Suitable from ten years and over, the Ravensburger Big Ben 3D Jigsaw Puzzle is put together by slotting the sturdy pieces together following a number guide (which is printed on the reverse side of the puzzle). You may either assemble the jigsaw by eye or simply follow the numbers!
Piecing The Puzzle Together
Having arranged the pieces into numerical order my husband and son worked together for a couple of hours to put this puzzle together, which was mostly enjoyable. However, once the tower itself was complete both my husband and son found the spire rather tricky to complete as it required small hands and a whole heap of patience.
We were rather impressed to find that this particular puzzle included two clocks, one of which is a ‘puzzle clock’ much like the puzzle itself and the other is an actual functioning clock which can then be used to transform the completed puzzle into an ornament of use which can then be seated on a London map style base.
We have chosen to place the completed puzzle within our living room as a feature and talking point, that and is rather handy to have a functioning clock sat upon my sideboard. I only wish the clock chimed like its Big Brother ‘down south’.

The Final Piece Of The Puzzle
Both my husband and son really enjoyed putting this puzzle together and I myself am really happy with the finished product being on display in our living room. This is a really sturdy puzzle and whilst it is quite challenging to complete it’s certainly worth giving a go as the finished product is stunning.
