Pop Pop Hair Surprise figures are the latest craze to hit the UK, boasting ‘a pop of hair, a pop of style and a pop of surprise’. We were very kindly chosen to be one of the first people in the UK to get our hands on these collectible characters to rate and review.
Pop Pop Surprise Figures
We received three Pop Pop Hair Surprise figures: Boogie, Snooze, and Frilly. There are over twenty-five characters to collect (including a set of ultra-rare twins!) each containing:
- 1 x Hair Brush
- 1 x Hair Roller
- 1 x Pop Pet Character.
- 4 x Hair Bands
- 2 x Hair Clips
Pop Surprise!
According to the instructions, all we needed to do was to ‘spray for a pop surprise’ which seemed a rather unique way in which to open or unbox a surprise figure.
I was rather impressed to find that the Pop Pop Surprise figure isn’t just cute but it’s an actual, functioning brush that can be used to style and to brush children’s hair!
Once the brush handle was twisted off, it then becomes a spray bottle, which we filled with water. Inside of the brush is a ‘Pop Pod’ which when sprayed (with the water from the spray bottle included) pops open to reveal a ‘pop roller’ with rather long and colourful hair.
Share & Wear
Children can choose to brush, style and to play with the Pop Pet’s hair or they can accessorise their own hair (which I would advise may be done with adult supervision!) with Pop Pets using the included bands and clips.
Suitable for children over three years, there are a number of ways in which these figures may be played with; children can either style the Pop pets hair, accessorise their own hair and even use the figures as pencil toppers should they fancy!

To Summarise
E had great fun opening or should I say popping open the Pop Pop Hair Surprise figures and accessories. She has since requested her very own ‘pop pop hairstyles’ with the included accessories and seems to enjoy playing with these figures.
I would recommend Pop Pop Hair Surprise figures although they are a little pricey, they provide creative entertainment for aspiring hairstylists.
