Fauna Inspiration, Flora Healing & Fantastic Being Oracle Decks For Self-Inquiry & Reflection

Whilst I’m carrying out a Tarot reading, I often like to refer to oracle cards in order to offer further clarity, advice, and guidance for both the querent and myself as the reader. About Avec La Vie

Over the past twenty-five years Rebecca Lefebvre has worked with homeless mothers, premature infants, and individuals who’ve been dealt with unexpected hard realities (such as adults with complex illnesses, along with small, medium and large organisations undergoing significant change). In honour of the determination and bravery of those individuals, teams, and organisations, Rebecca made a promise to share the wisdom and knowledge that she had gained in order to inspire others as they stepped forwards and mustered the courage to be present within their own lives.

The Fauna Inspiration Illumination Cards, Flora Healing Restorative Cards,  and the Fantastic Being Manifestation Cards are presented in three separate, diagonally cut, sturdy cardboard presentation boxes, each featuring Phoebe Hunt’s incredible illustrations and watercolour artwork taken directly from the decks.

I particularly like how these boxes are designed to double up as presentation, storage and selection boxes making for easy access and use of these decks, thus encouraging more regular reading and reflection.

The Cards

The Fauna, Flora and Fantastic decks each include fifty-seven oracle cards (and one title card) featuring full-colour images on the front of the card, and inspiring messages on the back. The 4.5″ x 2.75″ cards are made with paper certified by the Rainforest Alliance for FSC® Standards and contain at least 30% post-consumer waste recycled fibre and meet the EPA guidelines for recycled content papers.

Due to their paper-matt-style finish, the Fauna, Flora, and Fantastic decks are super simple to shuffle and feel incredibly tactile to work work.

Featuring illustration from Phoebe Hunt, the Fauna Inspiration Illumination Cards include imagery of animals as guides and a wealth of information (including elemental symbology) to aid contemplation and personal exploration. This fifty-seven card deck introduces the concept of contemplation through conscious awareness of your personal values and life plans. The Flora Healing Restorative Cards

Reading With Avec La Vie’s Oracle Decks

Having spent the past week or so working with Avec La Vie’s incredible and intricate oracle decks, I can confirm that I have fallen completely head over heels for the Flora, Fauna, and Fantastic Being decks as they truly are the most exquisite, elegant, delicate, and delightful decks that I have ever worked with. The artistry, the messages, the quality, the feel, and everything about these decks are so special I just cannot express how dazzled, impressed and rather overwhelmed I am by their charm and beauty.

Rebecca explains that the Flora, Fauna, and Fantastic Being decks were developed and designed to aid intuitive wisdom, to encourage exploration of the things that make you unique, and to offer prompts for introspection and reflection either with yourself or those you love. Most importantly, these cards should be made your own as these are ‘your tools’ and the journey is unique to you. I certainly have made these cards my own by combining them with a range of other Tarot and oracle decks that I regularly use during readings to gain further insight and to offer more detailed readings.

Each of the cards features detailed drawings and artistry inspired by nature, along with an explanation and guidance for readers. Avec La Vie has also included the five elements (air, fire, water, earth, and essence) as a symbol at the base of each card for further contemplative reading.

Whilst the Fauna, Flora, and Fantastic Being decks may be used individually, they may also be used together. They are designed to explore three stages of change (contemplation, healing and transformation) and there is no right way or wrong to use these decks. I personally have chosen to keep the decks separate rather than combining them and have used one or two cards to compliment and to add further clarity and guidance to my Tarot readings.
