I like to keep things simple when it comes to the kitchen, I’m not the World’s most gifted chef though I’ll attempt almost any recipe so long as it’s easy to understand, follow, and execute. My children are keen when it comes to working in the kitchen, this is something I’ve encouraged from an early age and am pleased to see they enjoy. I remember drawing out and colouring in basic cake and biscuit recipes on posters for them, these were then stuck to the backs of kitchen cupboard doors for the kids to follow and to make as they pleased.
Though we aren’t a vegan household when it comes to our diet, I still like to have a range of recipe options on hand to experiment with and explore thus I’ve got a cupboard full of cookbooks filled with vegetarian, vegan, and meat-based meals for whenever the occasion should arise. I was therefore delighted to receive Michi Mathia’s DIY Vegan Cooking Visual Recipe Cards from Liminal 11 to add to my ever-growing collection of cookbooks.

Keep It Simple In The Kitchen
These delicious vegan recipe ideas are illustrated and drawn out much like the posters that I created when the kids were young. Presented in a sturdy, flip-open cardboard case, these recipe cards are set up with tabs to separate Breakfasts, Soups & Side Salads, Main Dishes, and Deserts & Baking making recipes easy to find and select.
Featuring over fifty healthy and delicious illustrated vegan recipes, Michi’s Vegan Recipe Cards are super easy to understand; there are no precise measurements or instructions to follow. Instead, Michi has drawn out a simple visual guide making cooking uncomplicated, simple, and most importantly fun.
Ideal for visual thinkers, kids and those who like me are a little clumsy in the kitchen, these visual recipes are printed on laminated cards making the recipes easy to wipe clean should you happen to spill ingredients whilst cooking.
