Celebrating National Picnic Week With Num Noms

Did you know that it’s almost National Picnic Week? National Picnic Week takes place from 21st June – 30th June 2019, so get your hampers, blankets, and butties at the ready!

With the weather having made a sudden transformation from dismal to delightful it seems perfect timing for Picnic Week! What’s more, Num Noms very kindly sent us a hamper heaving with plates, cups, napkins and a bundle of the latest Num Noms toys to enjoy so we are more than ready to mark the occasion.

Our little lady is a big fan of ‘cold dinners’ (as she calls her packed lunches) so picnic food is right up her street! Whilst E isn’t all that adventurous when it comes to her choice in food, she enjoys a range of snacks, some of which are healthy, on her plate usually including the likes of cheese sandwiches, crisps (Wotsits or Quavers), raspberries, strawberries, grapes, banana, a small cake or biscuit and if she’s super lucky and we’ve got them in the fridge – a cocktail sausage or two.

As we were sent this package prior to Picnic Week, when the weather was a little dismal, my daughter decided to stay dry and to dine indoors. Our kids love to share a ‘carpet picnic’ although having a four-legged friend who happens to have a see-food-and-snatch diet, we took our treats to the table for safety during the snapshots.

Having filled her cup with juice and loaded her plate with picnic snacks, E then took herself to the table where she tucked in alongside her brand new Nums Noms toys.

Now that we’ve been blessed with beautiful sunshine, I’ll be sure to reuse these plates, cups and such-like, packing them into a hamper for an afternoon out somewhere scenic and hopefully sunny over the weekend.

Just like her Mum, E loves collecting stationery. She was therefore rather impressed by the Num Noms scented notebook triple pack and Num Noms eight-colour strawberry scented pen which we were sent.

The Num Noms Mini Notebook set is available to purchase from a range of high-street and online stores including Amazon where it is currently (as of June 2019) listed for only £5.99. The pen is also available to purchase with a recommended retail price of £4.99 (though it is currently listed at only £2.75 on Amazon).

Num Noms Party Hair Surprises

E was sent three Num Noms Party Hair surprises to unwrap and to open. Whilst E adores these toys, Whereas I couldn’t help but have a small panic attack at the sheer amount of plastic waste which these things produce – Surely with the number of issues regarding plastic waste which we currently face, manufacturers would have thought up another way in which to wrap these popular little presents by now?!

Included within each Num Noms Party Hair Pack was:

• 1 x Hair Piece/ Attachment
• 1 x Collectors Sheet

Plastic pollution aside, E was delighted with the three Num Noms Party Hair figures: Candy Cloud, Popcorn Puffs and B.Gum Pop which she unwrapped and opened.

Num Noms Sparkle Smoothies

E was also sent three Num Noms Sparkle Smoothies sets which set took very little time over unwrapping and opening. Included inside each of these sets was:

• 1 x Collectors Sheet

E was pleased to discover that she had unwrapped:

• Paradise Sparkle-It & Bunny Banana
• Strawberry Sparkle-It & Faith Frosting
• Glitter Grape Sparkle-It & Wild Berry Sherbet

Each of the above included a scented, flavoured lip gloss and a num nom character which fits on top the gloss to create a ‘milkshake/ smoothy shaped’ figure.

Num Noms Mystery Makeup Surprise Sets

To complete the hamper, E was sent two Num Noms Mystery Makeup Surprises. Each Num Noms Mystery Makeup Surprise includes:

• 1 x Character (this may be nail varnish or glitter)
• 1 x Stand
• 1 x Lip Gloss
• 1 x Milk Bottle Container
• 1 x Collectors Sheet

As E unwrapped and opened each Num Noms Mystery Makeup Surprise, she found that she had duplicate figures thus put one of these aside for her cousin to enjoy.

E unwrapped and opened two matching Yummy Ci Ci & Candy Blue Num Nom figures and varnishes. As E is a total diva when it comes to anything cosmetic or makeup related, she has really enjoyed being able to paint her own nails with this glittery Num Noms set.

Lets Picnic & Party!

As you can see from the above images, E had an awesome time unwrapping and opening each of the items from the hamper. She has since added these Nums Noms to her ever-growing collection (which there are now so many of that they are stored in the large picnic basket provided!) and she plays with them each and every day.
