I cannot believe that we are already into the May half term. I feel likes only yesterday that I was packing away the Christmas tree and yet here we are with the wafts of BBQ smoke and freshly cut grass. I love Summer but it seems to have snuck up on me this year.
The last two weeks have literally flown by leaving me wondering whether it really happened, did our son really just turn seven? Did we really manage to have a successful party without overspending or over thinking the whole thing? Was I really standing at the front of the crowd singing along to Simply Red like a drunken loon with such lovely ladies this weekend? Yes, yes apparently it has all happened but it feels far more like a dream than reality.
Time is bouncing by and I feel like I am just a spectator watching it all happen in fast forward, thankfully I took today to ‘just be’, to just slow down a little and spend time as a family at the beach building sand castles and collecting seashells. To ‘just relax’ playing in the garden together, To ‘just sit down’ and enjoy a family BBQ together and to ‘just be a family’ without the worries of the World.
We all need to slow down and to ‘just enjoy’ the moment, the friends, the family, the surroundings and the now because before we know it months have passed us by and whilst we may have ‘been there’, we haven’t actually ‘been in the moment’ and that is what really counts.
Be sure to take it all in, be in the moment, ‘just be’.

This year really does seem to be flying by at lightening speed, I love those days where you feel like you have spent all day just enjoying the little moments you really have to cherish them don’t you.
I love being in the moment X X
I love taking time to just be, it’s so important to not always be rushing around, especially with the children. Thanks for linking to #picknmix
You are welcome x
Good advice! The time does go so quickly! #picknmix
