After what has felt like a none-stop week, Friday has finally arrived – Hurrah! Whilst I’d love to tell you that we have nothing planned and can therefore slouch on the sofa and rest for the weekend, that isn’t quite the case.
As I said, it’s been a busy week although fun-filled throughout. We’ve had Pancake Day, World Book Day and of course it’s been Fairtrade Fortnight, thus fairly full on! Amongst all the activities, we’ve also managed to fit in dance classes, visits to and from Grandparents, shopping trips, homework and numerous chores.
Tonight, we are quite possibly going to the roller disco (as per usual for a Friday) although I’ll be honest – I don’t really fancy leaving the house in this weather – it’s pouring it down! I’d much rather run a deep, hot, bubbly bath and kick back with a book than sit in a freezing hall watching the kids cause chaos on their skates and scooters.
Despite being ridiculously busy, I’ve continued on my quest to find a reasonably priced holiday for the summer. We’ve been meaning to book a holiday for months now, but I couldn’t make my mind up as to where I wanted to go, nor could I find any decent deals. I was beginning to get rather sick of scrawling through offers online, thus called it a day and put down a deposit to make a booking for Hersonissos in Crete.
As a child I travelled around Greece and its various islands but have little to no memory of this time. The kids haven’t been to Greece as of yet and given that the hotel rates as four stars, is all-inclusive and just so happens to have a waterpark onsite – it seemed to fit the bill.
On that note I’d better book the dog into kennels …
…The dog is now booked in for her holidays, that’s another job done! Oh what I’d do to have a hot bath and jump into my pyjamas right about now, it’s freezing outside and I’m exhausted. I have a party to attend tomorrow evening and even that doesn’t entice me right now. Lord knows what I’m going to wear, it’s one of those semi-casual-formal affairs which will no doubt send me into a fashion frenzy come this time tomorrow. How is it that I have wardrobes crammed to the rafters with clothes, yet nothing whatsoever to wear?
At this point in the year I should be on a mega mission to get thin; not only are we jetting off to sit in our swim wear but I’m also a bridesmaid in a few months. I guess I either hide behind the buffet (which sounds tempting) or kill off a few kilos before the big day. Starvation isn’t really an option thus I really need to do a number on my diet, I stopped counting way back though, even the scales have been shoved to one side.
On that note I really ought to get tea sorted, that and get our things together for this evenings roller disco which I really, really cannot be bothered attending. Ho hum!

It sounds like you’ve had a busy week and I love the sound of the roller disco. What fun!
The holiday sounds great. x
We drove all the way out to find the roads were shut so turned around to come home. We sat in traffic for thirty minutes before getting back to base. Hot bath was first on my list 🙂
Awesome holiday plans
Can’t wait x
