Paul finally managed to clean up and clear out the garage whoop whoop! Now we just need to work out how we are going to empty the utility room whilst temporarily using it for the washing facilities.
Being used to having so much space makes it so bleeding difficult when you are asked to make do with far less, it’s certainly given us the chance to sort through our belongings and get rid of a whole load of rubbish.
The kids stayed overnight at my parents house last night, I am hoping that they slept well and didn’t miss us too much. We made full use of the time by raiding their rooms and de-cluttering whilst the kids were blissfully unaware. I have now listed yet another twenty odd items on eBay and have yet more bags for the charity shop.
Don’t get me wrong, kids love toys and I am very happy that my children have plenty to play with but after a while certain toys become redundant, they are no longer used and I see no point in holding onto them as they sit collecting dust. I would much rather pass unused toys and clothes onto someone else that can make good use of them, or make a few pennies on eBay which will then go towards new toys and clothes for the kids.
I love a good clear out, if it were possible I’d live a minimalist lifestyle but with having two kids and a hoarding husband it’s highly unlikely that this will ever happen.
There was however one particular plush bear which I was unable to throw into a charity bag or list on eBay. Linus the bear is apparently worth a fair bit of moolah but still, this wasn’t the reason why I salvaged him from the clear out.
This bear is just far too flipping cute to let go of, he can sit on my Welsh dresser for now until I find him a suitable home.

Ooh I love a good clear out especially before Christmas but I’m as toy mad as my children and find it hard to throw toys away so they usually end up in the attic!
I love having a good clear out, I do it way too often.
I love having a clear out. My other half is such a hoarder. It drives me insane. I always say if you haven’t use it or worn it in a year, then it can go. Good on you for having a good clear out.

I am also in the middle of. Good clear out! I’m beginning to feel so much better about getting rid though, plus we get new carpets in a couple of weeks! #TuesdayTreasures
I am a horrible hoarder, I really need to sort my clutter out but I’m just the worst, honestly the things I save are insane. I am going to take your lead and attempt to declutter something this week for my own sanity!
I’ve been on a real decluttering kick lately and gathered all the baby toys up, reasoning that as my daughter is now a toddler (with roughly 5 million toddler toys) she doesn’t need them anymore. Then my mum came around and made me feel like a monster for wanting to part her from x, y, and z. I’ve learned my lesson – next time I need to drop it off at the charity depot quicker! 😉 #TuesdayTreasures
We are so in need of a clear out! I am far too senstimental and keep way too much stuff. I do find it satisfying though when we have a good sort out. I would have kept Linus too – those eyes!!
I need to do a clear out soon but I can’t bring myself to yet as I know it’s all toys 🙁
Aww glad you saved the bear, he is very cute indeed! I’ve got a whole pile of stuff to list on Ebay currently, I just can’t find the motivation! Maybe reading that you’ve done it will spur me on… #TuesdayTreasures
Good luck, I have a whole heap of jobs to do too but now only two things to go on eBay x
There’s nothing better than a great de-clutter. I feel I’m constantly doing that. Can totally understand not wanting to part with certain things. #TuesdayTreasures
The bear has a home now on my shelves x
