If you find yourself in the midst of a panic because you’re hosting a kids party, then fear not. Help is at hand. I’ve got everything you need to know to keep everyone happy and ensure your party is one to remember.
Remember to send these out with as much time as possible for people to respond and plan ahead. You should include:
Your child’s name and the birthday they are celebrating
The venue address and the theme (if applicable)
The party start and end time
Your contact details – telephone number, email address
Directions to the venue – you can print off a map to help people find it
It can be a good idea to find out in advance if there are any children attending with allergies or dietary requirements so you can factor that in.…
Looking back at the ‘Birthday Bash’ I am fairly pleased with how events went down, it sure came down in terms of rain! Cumbria suffered with some pretty hefty floods over the weekend and at one point it looked as if the whole birthday party thing may be a rather large flop.
Lady Luck paid us yet another visit and ensured that the sun shined all day long giving the kids the opportunity to run off the buffet food on the bouncy castle, trampoline, swings, slides and other random outdoor toys.
Sadly due to the rain we weren’t able to build E’s new swings and slide, we are still waiting for the ground to become less like a quagmire so that we can put them up.…
AHOY MATEY! WELCOME ABOARD #TUESDAYTREASURES
Welcome to this weeks #TuesdayTreasures blog linky share. #TuesdayTreasures is for bloggers from all walks of life, whether you are a parenting, lifestyle or any other type of blogger you are welcome to join in and to share your posts new and old.
THE BLOG WITH THE BOOTY
Each week one post which has been added to the #TuesdayTreasures linky is selected by myself to share with you all. This week I took great pleasure in reading 'You Look Like A Mum', a hilariously honest post written by Viv from MummingMadness.
Her wonderful take on appearance during Motherhood had me in stitches! I fully agree that it is indeed"liberating to feel good about yourself while simultaneously looking (and feeling to be fair) like you've just done the cha cha cha with a level 5 hurricane".
Viv is an amazing Mummy to Amelie and wonderful wife to Joe. Viv writes over at Mumming Madness, you can read more of her posts here.
It’s official, you are now a ‘threenager’! It has been three whole years since I first locked eyes with the most beautiful girl in the World. You have the biggest, sparkly hazel eyes with that little fleck in one eye which makes you so unique.
I remember how your perfect rosebud lips sat gently pursed as your tiny fingers wrapped around my little finger gripping not only my hand but my heart forever.
Your arrival completed our family. We were lucky enough to be graced with ‘one of each’ and you were the sparkly, pink icing on our rather delicious cake.
You made our little man into the most perfect big brother, you instantly became his best friend for life.…
Welcome to this weeks rather special #Living Arrows – The Birthday Edition. E turned three years old today and began her day ripping endless amounts of wrapping paper from a rather large pile of parcels.
As always, we ensured that her big brother J also had something to open and as you can tell by the pictures they were both rather excited and had great fun unwrapping all of the gifts.

Change Of Plans
We were originally planning to go out for the day to Greenlands Farm Village. However, it had been raining hard all night and we awoke to some rather extensive flooding in our area which has literally cut us off from travelling North or South.…
