It’s official, our extension has begun! The builders arrived early this morning to begin prepping the utility room and the garage which isn’t quite empty yet. The scaffolders have now arrived along with their drills and rather loud radio which will of course make us the most popular neighbours in town.
I am rather excited about the whole shebackle other than having to spend the next six weeks squashed into half a kitchen with the dog and random accessories which were originally kept out of the way in the Utility room.
It is going to be chaos, it’s going to be messy and my little OCD voices will no doubt be screaming in the back of my mind through the whole build but it’ll be worth it.…
In a couple of weeks I will be attending my first bloggers conference, ‘Blog On‘ in Manchester.
I’m feeling fairly nervous about the whole thing given that it’ll be my first time but if I’m totally honest my biggest worry is travelling two hours on my lonesome down the M6 and then having to navigate my way around Manchester without having a small melt down.
Zoe from Mama Geek has put together some ice breaker questions to enable bloggers attending to get to know each other a little better beforehand. I also thought that my readers may enjoy gaining a little insight into the ‘girl behind the blog’.…
Ahoy Matey! Welcome Aboard #TuesdayTreasures
Welcome to this weeks #TuesdayTreasures blog linky share. #TuesdayTreasures is for bloggers from all walks of life, whether you are a parenting, lifestyle or any other type of blogger you are welcome to join in and to share your posts new and old.
The Blog With The Booty
Each week one post which has been added to the #TuesdayTreasures linky is selected by myself to share with you all. This week I read a post which struck me as relatable to how I once felt back in the early baby days.
Having kids is a huge step and one which can sometimes leave us wondering about ourselves, our own identity and sometimes it can lead us to feeling insignificant, invisible almost. 'Oh Mummy Mia' documented precisely these feelings in her latest blog post 'Am I Invisible Or What?'.
Oh Mummy Mia is a 29 year old Mother and Wife from Spalding, Oh Mummy Mia's blog is intended to be a diary and guidebook for other Mums, documenting family life, Motherly mishaps, product reviews, and travel.
Welcome to this weeks edition of #LivingArrows, I haven’t taken a whole heap of photos this week, with the kids getting back into the school routine it feels as if time has been halved. I guess it has really, the kids are out for at least half of the day and so photo opportunities aren’t as easy these days.
I will however share a couple of random shots from the week which I found lurking on the hubby’s phone, it’s amazing whats on there let me tell you!
Swinging In The Sunshine
The summer is fading fast, the sunshine is apparently making a come back this week but so far I see no sign of its desires to return.…
Welcome to another #MySundayPhoto, this week I thought I’d share a rather stunning shot of ‘double trouble’ as I like to call them AKA my kids.
These two little people are my entire World. They are both funny, clever, cute, imaginative and together they are TROUBLE!
We invited the in-laws around this evening for dinner, between J & E we couldn’t conduct a conversation over the screaming and shouting taking place in what was originally my living room but within the short space of twenty minutes transformed into a bomb site.
I do love them both dearly but my ear drums aren’t getting any younger and whilst I have been subjected to ‘loud’ sounds in my time, put the kids together and the noise levels hit decibels never yet seen before…
You know the old saying “can’t live with them, can’t live without them”?…
