It’s starting to feel a lot like Autumn, officially in the UK Autumn starts tomorrow but in my eyes it has already arrived. The sky seems duller, the temperature has dropped and the trees are beginning to shed their leaves.
Why I Love Autumn
I love Autumn, it is the season of all things ‘snuggly’, here are just a few of the things which I relate to Autumn.
Fluffy throws being thrown over the beds for added warmth.
Wooly socks to keep your feet snug on the school run.
Steamy Hot Chocolate to warm you from the inside out.
Crispy leaves which dance around in the autumn wind.…
Ahoy Matey! Welcome Aboard #TuesdayTreasures
Welcome to this weeks #TuesdayTreasures blog linky share. #TuesdayTreasures is for bloggers from all walks of life, whether you are a parenting, lifestyle or any other type of blogger you are welcome to join in and to share your posts new and old.
The Blog With The Booty
Each week one post which has been added to the #TuesdayTreasures linky is selected by myself to share with you all. They say 'Love makes the World go around' and I have to agree, where would we be without love? Love from our family, our friends and our partners, life would simply not work nor be of any worth without 'love'.
I think love is hugely important and should be celebrated as such, I therefore selected Sally's celebratory post 'We're Engaged!' as this weeks #TuesdayTreasures Trophy Winner. I would congratulate Sally from 'Life Loving' and her fiancee on their fabulous news and wish them all the very best for the future.
Sally lives by the motto of 'ketchup tomorrow, relish today'. Her blog 'Life Loving' is full of inspirational stories and helpful suggestions of how to make the most out of life. Having learnt myself that life is too short, I think that we all need to make the very best of each and every day and 'Life Loving' seems to be doing precisely this in a digital form. You can read more of Sally's posts on her blog 'Living Loving' and I for one will be reading to keep up to date with the wedding plans!
I am loving the September sunshine which we are currently being blessed with. Not only do we need the dry weather for the build to take place more easily but the kids love running around outside in the fresh air.
Getting the kids out of the house whether it be a trip to the park, a walk through the woods or simply playing out in our own garden can make all the difference especially when it comes to bed time.
The kids are already fairly exhausted from spending their time in Nursery and Primary School but getting a few hours of fresh air each day seals the deal when it comes to getting the kids to sleep!…
The Birthday Party Parenting Debate
I have long debated with my husband whether or not as parents we should leave or remain at children’s birthday parties. J is seven years old now and whilst that seems a suitable age for a child to be left with adult supervision, I still feel that as parents we have a duty to stay, to supervise our children and to ensure their safety and wellbeing.
Don’t get me wrong, I don’t wish to molly coddle my children but neither do I wish to leave them with strangers, perhaps not to me personally but certainly to my children who neither know nor possibly trust the adults present.…
J started Forest School this week, he had huge amounts of fun out and about with his class friends in the fresh air and returned home with lots of tales to tell.
J’s Teachers have all commented on how impressed they were with him and how much fun he had. I am so proud of my little man, he has settled straight into the Juniors with no problems whatsoever. He seems to be happy, confident and trying his best in School, long may it continue!
Happy Sunday folks, I hope you’ve had a great weekend and that all your little ones starting Nursery, Pre-School, Primary School, Secondary School, College or even venturing off to University have all settled well.…
