The Blog With The Booty
Each week one post which has been added to the #TuesdayTreasures linky is selected by myself to share with you all. I often question my life, if I am doing the things I should be and whether my life is ‘as it should be’. After reading Mandy Charltons brilliant blog post ‘When Will My Life Begin‘ it seems I am not alone in feeling this way.…
We are so lucky to have children that actually get on with each other, don’t get me wrong they have their moments as we all do but for the majority of the time our kids happily play and spend time together.
J & E have a four-year age gap, there is the obvious gender difference and they are total polar opposites in terms of personality yet. They will both stretch that extra mile to take part in one and others activities whether its role-playing as a cowboys or reading books about fairy princesses, they are quite happy to do pretty much any activity so long as it’s together.…
It’s official, winter has arrived. The temperature has dropped dramatically and we saw the first flurries of snow earlier this week. I have pulled out the soft, snuggly blankets for the sofa and have finally been allowed to put the fire on.
I took this photo a few weeks ago whilst giving the fire a ‘pre-winter’ test run, it’s since been lit almost daily. I love watching a fire, the flames almost seem to dance and if you look closely enough you can sometimes make out shapes from within the flames.
My friend recently told me that whilst camping with a group of friends he found that they all sat around the camp fire in silence, each one of them totally transfixed by the flames.…
Our little lady E is quite simply mad about rabbits! As most of my friends, family and possibly readers already know, E was given a soft, fluffy, pink rabbit when she was first-born. The rabbit has since been dubbed as ‘Ninny’ and has become her lifelong friend which she insists on carrying about absolutely everywhere.
We actually have three ‘Ninny’ bunnies so that we are able to rotate the rabbits should they require washing or god forbid ever get lost. E is totally rabbit mad, she adores bunnies and would be quite happy to spend all day watching, reading or playing with rabbit related paraphernalia.…
My husband Paul is a keen artist, he uses a range of media to create cartoons which are based on our children. Paul is hugely talented in the Arts and can often be found sat sketching, colouring or tweaking images on his laptop.
Paul has sketch books full of ideas which he begins in pencil, he then moves on to using fine line pens and later transfers his work over to his laptop to colour, shade and add further details to.
It’s a fairly long process but he seems to really enjoy bringing the kids to life in comic format. You can take a peek at the full catalogue of Paul’s work over at his website at www.shorttoons.com
