The summer holidays have finally arrived, the kids can finally kick back, relax and who am I kidding?! They are both full of beans and raring to go, it’s now down to us parents to provide constant entertainment for the next six weeks or so, wish us luck!
So whilst parents UK wide will no doubt find the next six weeks or so frazzling to say the least, I hope you do manage to fit in some ‘#LittleLoves‘ as I find there is a lot to love about the summer, especially as we get the chance to finally spend time together as family.…
It’s official, J has finished year two and is therefore no longer an ‘Infant’. I was fully aware that my emotions may get the better of me and had already loaded my pockets with tissues should the tears flow as I watched him coming out from his classroom this afternoon.
I felt slightly tearful for a moment or two, that was until I found myself jumping for joy and throwing my arms proudly around my gorgeous little man as I realised that he had been awarded with the ‘Lighthouse Award’, a weekly award which is given to one student from each class in the school to celebrate their success in a particular area).…
AHOY MATEY! WELCOME ABOARD #TUESDAYTREASURES
Welcome to this weeks #TuesdayTreasures blog linky share. #TuesdayTreasures is for bloggers from all walks of life, whether you are a parenting, lifestyle or any other type of blogger you are welcome to join in and to share your posts new and old.
THE BLOG WITH THE BOOTY
Each week one post which has been added to the #TuesdayTreasures linky is selected by myself to share with you all. This week I really enjoyed reading a post written by HappyMummy discussing why pregnant women should always be given a seat on a bus/ train. ‘Why Pregnant Woman Should Always Be Given A Seat‘ was an interesting read and I personally fully agree with this sentiment and would also like to promote #respectforpregnancy
AVAST YE! (THE BASICS FOR LINKING UP)
The #TuesdayTreasures linky will be live from 5 am every Tuesday and will close at the end of the day on a Thursday. As with all linkys there are some rules and the full version of these can be found here.
Basically, you can link up to a maximum of two posts, new or old. Please comment on the hosts posts and at least two other linked posts. If you can please finish your comments with #TuesdayTreasures that would be particularly helpful as it puts bloggers in the know as to how you found their posts.
If you are on Twitter then let me know, You can find me at @RachelSwirl, again try not to forget to include the hashtag #TuesdayTreasures. I will share your post and in turn share the love!
Every week I will pick my favourite #TuesdayTreasures post and will mention it at the beginning of the linky post the following Tuesday, so don’t forget to pop back each week!
Here is the badge and code for you to use in your post/ posts which you link up.
Welcome to yet another #LivingArrows post, It’s been one of those Mondays when it somehow feels like the World is plotting against you. I’m not going to go into great detail but suffice to say I feel that I would be happy to erase ‘today’ from my memory and pretend it never happened.
Thankfully I have two rather large distractions in my life which have once again pulled me out from my mood ‘slump’ and I am eternally grateful for their ability to turn my frown upside down.
Distraction No:2 and the wonderful hubby
Thanks for reading and as always I look forward to catching up with your #LivingArrows either through your own posts or comments upon this post.…
So it’s Sunday once again, yet another week has flown by and we have literally days left before my little man finishes his time at school as an ‘Infant’. I was warned by many of my family and friends that kids grow up quickly but I didn’t realise how right they were.
My little man is doing so well, he still has the occasional wobble every now and then and it’s during those times like this weekend in the midst of being assessed for his ‘yellow belt’ that I have to remind myself he is still only seven years old! It worries me that there is far too much pressure put onto our kids these days from such an early age, I want J to do well don’t get me wrong but I don’t want him to feel the weight of the World on his shoulders, I want him to enjoy his childhood!…
