There’s something rather endearing about driving back to the West Lakes, the sun setting over the Combe, the estuary reflecting the blanket of rolling clouds and the iconic church steeple peeping out from across the bay welcoming us home.
As we live ‘in the back end of nowhere’ as many call it we have to drive at least an hour to reach the motorway. Despite the journey being a bit of a ball ache it’s at least a scenic drive!
I’ve driven this route countless times and each and every time I cannot help but to take a moment to appreciate the view as I make my way across the bay.…
Well it’s officially the eve of my son’s eighth birthday and as you can imagine it’s been a fairly busy week with birthday preparations and such like. Time is literally flying by, I seem to have very little grasp upon the day-to-day goings on, I really need to sort myself out, get a grip and get back on the ball as seven days seem to pass me by in the blink of an eye and I find myself desperately pondering my #LittleLoves during that time.
Having fed the kids supper, washed them both in a hot, bubbly bath I then settled them down to read a few stories both of which were ‘birthday based’ given that J turns eight-years old tomorrow.…
As I tucked J into bed this evening I realised that this would be the very last time that I’d settle him to sleep as a seven-year old. J has come on leaps and bounds throughout this past year especially in terms of his school work. It’s been a tough year really with one thing or another and yet J has shown incredible strength and resilience.…
Welcome to this weeks edition of the ‘Blogging Behind The Scenes’ series. Throughout the ‘Blogging Behind The Scenes’ series both myself and a group of bloggers will be sharing our experiences and advice upon a range of blogging related topics, this week we are focusing upon the length of time it takes most bloggers to create and publish a single blog post.
Reading VS Writing Blog Posts

As you may well know from my recent blog posts I am off to Blog On this weekend. For those of you that aren’t in the know ‘Blog On’ is one of the best blogging conferences which is held in Manchester twice annually.
Having been to Blog On once before I am at least familiar with the setup and location of the conference and am really excited about heading back to the Museum of Science and Industry to catch up with fellow bloggers, meet further bloggers, to network with brands and of course to learn even more about something which I have a great passion for.…
