It’s that time of year yet again when the annual school uniform saga begins. Your patience is wearing thin after entertaining your little darlings day and night for six weeks solid. The wine has replaced the milks place in the fridge and even the kids seem keen to go back to school if not to see their friends then to have a break from their rather frazzled and frustrated parents.
You’ve spent up over the summer providing endless entertainment for your little cherubs and now your wallet is about to wail once again. It’s time to blow any remaining bank balance on the next size up in pants, shirts, skirts, socks, shoes, coats, trainers, pumps, tshirts, shorts, pinafore dresses and whatever else is on the sodding list.…
Welcome to this weeks edition of #LittleLoves featuring sausages, stripes and safety. #LittleLoves is a weekly blog linky run by Morgana. Each week I contribute by listing some of the highlights from my past seven days in set categories.
Following E’s birthday which I am fairly sure that I have mentioned a few times over the past couple of posts we have been enjoying snuggling down at bedtime with some of the many books that E was given as gifts.
Sugarlump and the Unicorn is yet another rhyming masterpiece from the all time, much-loved family favourite ‘Julia Donaldson‘.
Without spoiling the story for you and your little ones, I will simply say that this tale teaches children to appreciate what they already have and to make the most of the things that they enjoy in life.…
If you find yourself in the midst of a panic because you’re hosting a kids party, then fear not. Help is at hand. I’ve got everything you need to know to keep everyone happy and ensure your party is one to remember.
Remember to send these out with as much time as possible for people to respond and plan ahead. You should include:
Your child’s name and the birthday they are celebrating
The venue address and the theme (if applicable)
The party start and end time
Your contact details – telephone number, email address
Directions to the venue – you can print off a map to help people find it
It can be a good idea to find out in advance if there are any children attending with allergies or dietary requirements so you can factor that in.…
Looking back at the ‘Birthday Bash’ I am fairly pleased with how events went down, it sure came down in terms of rain! Cumbria suffered with some pretty hefty floods over the weekend and at one point it looked as if the whole birthday party thing may be a rather large flop.
Lady Luck paid us yet another visit and ensured that the sun shined all day long giving the kids the opportunity to run off the buffet food on the bouncy castle, trampoline, swings, slides and other random outdoor toys.
Sadly due to the rain we weren’t able to build E’s new swings and slide, we are still waiting for the ground to become less like a quagmire so that we can put them up.…

THE BLOG WITH THE BOOTY
Each week one post which has been added to the #TuesdayTreasures linky is selected by myself to share with you all. This week I took great pleasure in reading 'You Look Like A Mum', a hilariously honest post written by Viv from MummingMadness.
Her wonderful take on appearance during Motherhood had me in stitches! I fully agree that it is indeed"liberating to feel good about yourself while simultaneously looking (and feeling to be fair) like you've just done the cha cha cha with a level 5 hurricane".
Viv is an amazing Mummy to Amelie and wonderful wife to Joe. Viv writes over at Mumming Madness, you can read more of her posts here.
