It’s certainly been a fun-filled February, what with homeschool, a brand new hot tub, and of course we had the half-term holidays to enjoy. I say enjoy but in reality, I meant ‘to endure’… still, we’ve been busy and it’s good to keep busy! Read I’ll be honest, I haven’t read much of anything other than the news and my email, neither of which has been that much of interest – I really ought to find a new book to read but I haven’t really the time nor the inclination at present. Watched Paul and I have watched numerous box …
So here we are, at the second half of the second academic term of the year still living in lockdown. Don’t get me wrong, I personally believe it’s much better for us to be staying safe at home than risking our health (and possibly our lives) by being out and about, but my goodness me, lockdown ain’t easy! I’m quite the organised soul and so keeping track of meetings, tasks, work set and all the things that the kids need to be getting on with whilst homeschooling is fine and dandy for me but I’m well aware that the kids …
Welcome to this week’s #MySundaySnapshot post, which is part of a snap-sharing-blog-linky series that you are very welcome to join. Click here for further information and guidelines upon this linky should you wish to take part. I’ve spent the majority of this week sky-gazing whilst soaking outside. Sadly the weather is now far too wet and windy to be sat outside but I’m hoping that once Paul builds our pergola that we can enjoy the hot tub all year round. Bring on the spring sunshine! …
Though it’s been brass monkeys outside this week, it didn’t stop the kids jumping into their swimming costumes and hopping into our recent addition, the hot tub. What I had imagined being a relaxing soak under the stars became a swirling, whirling, chaotic splash about in the disco-light flashing hot tub accompanied by two overexcited, giggly children… so much for kicking back and taking five! Splash and Smile Happy Days The weather is now much milder and sadly as a result of the temperature increase, it’s now rather wet and windy which doesn’t make for happy hot tubbing. Thankfully Paul …
It’s currently the February half-term holidays and as we technically cannot go anywhere or do much of anything as we are still ‘living in lockdown’, we’ve done our best to have a holiday at home. The kids are rather enjoying having a break from the books and I’m hoping that it won’t be too long before we can return to normality. Though I’m getting a little tired of refereeing the enitvitable sibling squabbles which seem to arise from time to time, the odd argument here and there is hardly surprising given that we’re all stuck sharing the same four walls …
