We are now over half way through the year and being the over-organised chick that I so happen to be, I’ve already started putting plans together for the next academic year. I’ve bought myself a rather spang-dangly, glitzy planner and have started penciling dates into the diary, all I need now is a new bag and I’m all set for September! Don’t get me wrong, I’m far from wishing time away, I just like to be ready and prepared well before required.
We’ve got our overall calendar in the office upstairs which I like to tick off as time goes by, I also have our family diary filled with appointments and such-like in the kitchen as well as a weekly planner which goes on the wall for us to follow. Alongside this, I also have my work diary and of course, my phone which I’ve synced with my Macbooks calendar app – all in all I’d like to think that I’m fairly on the ball!
I like to look forward, to outline the upcoming holidays and to calculate what we may be able to do during that time. I’m forever jotting down mini bucket lists and ideas in the back of my diary of the things that we need to do, items that I’d like to purchase for the house or places we may visit in the future. It’s a bit like a personal target tracker, only I keep extending the deadlines…
As you may be able to tell, I have a little bit of an obsession with stationery. I love a good notebook, especially pretty, unusual pads and books which I seem to Magpie into my office supplies. I have realms of various notebooks and notelets stacked in baskets, each one for a specific topic or subject. My husband must think me mad but I prefer to stay on top of things even if requires a forest full of paper to do so.
