#MySundayPhoto – Wandering By The Water

Earlier this week I returned to a place from my past to meet up with some familiar faces. Despite living only half an hour away from The Lake District it’s not often that I actually visit the Lakes. 

The views were quite simply stunning and the atmosphere was serene. Given that this beautiful place is only a hop, skip and a jump away I will be sure to make a return for some wine, wandering and stone skimming sometime in the future.

It’s quite an amusing fact but did you know that technically the Lake District only has one Lake? ‘ Yep… It’s strange but true! This particular photo was taken by ‘Coniston Water’ all other large pools of water around the Lake District are either waters, reservoirs, meres or tarns… 

It’s going to be a short post today as I’m about to depart for a party to bid farewell to a good friend. I’ve yet to apply the makeup, straighten the mop and to throw something half decent on before heading back out to the pub.
