Each and every Sunday my husband takes the children to their Grandparents house, I say house but it’s also a farm of sorts. The children take great pleasure in roaming around getting filthy from head to toe and as we have plenty of spare clothes and packs of washing powder why the hell not?
You are only young once, childhood is for enjoying, for living and for getting covered in mud. It’s all about the shizz and the giggles right? From time to time I wish I could go back to being a child, living a simplistic life with an innocent outlook, watching the tide as it rolls into the bay, watching the clouds as they cast shadows upon the fields, watching the butterflies as they land on the flowers…It’s far better than watching the news and seeing the reality of what our World has come to that’s for sure!
So as I venture to Manchester for an adult day spent with fellow bloggers and brands, I would like to share a snap which was captured with our kids last weekend. I think their viewpoint is far better than ours, for children see in full colour, unlike us adults that all too often see things in black and white.
Don’t be discouraged
Oh I realise
It’s hard to take courage
In a world full of people
You can lose sight of it all
And the darkness inside you
Can make you feel so small
Shining through
I see your true colours
And that’s why I love you
So don’t be afraid to let them show
Your true colours
True colours are beautiful
Like a rainbow”
