I wish I could write more over the weekend but with work and everything else I just haven’t the time nor the energy to do much of anything.
I think the winter nights have a lot to answer for as like many people I suffer with SAD (seasonal affective disorder) as a result of which I lack energy, suffer with low moods and feel generally worn out and worn down during the winter months.
As you may have read I’ve started Yoga and have made a concerted effort to get myself out and about as much as possible to battle against the blues, yet come Friday when we were child free I found myself declining a night on the tiles in exchange for my pyjamas and the TV.
I’m far from anti-social but come winter time I do tend to hermit myself with the house where I feel safe, secure, warm and snug.
During daylight hours I make sure to get out at least once or twice a day whether it’s an extended school run, a trip to the shops or a wander along the shore. It’s only when I actually get my ‘big coat’ on and brave the World that I get to experience such beauty as this rainbow I captured earlier this week.
There is nothing ‘SAD’ about this sight, it is a scene of pure colour, pure energy and vivid vibrance shining bright in the sky. If only life was always so colourful, so bright and so full of promise.
Trust me, I know, life is scary
But just put those colours on, girl
Come and play along with me tonight
So consumed with the wrong things, but in
The dark, I realised this life is short
And deep down, I’m still a child
Lose hope, what’s left of my heart’s still made of gold”
Thanks for reading and as always I look forward to catching up with your #MySundayPhoto pictures either through your own posts or comments upon this post.
