E adores Bonfire Night, unlike her older brother who stands nervously, hands over ears flinching each time a firework so much as fizzes. E has absolutely no fear, she is totally unfazed by all the loud bangs and will happily stand twirling her sparklers whilst watching the fireworks.
Last year E enjoyed the event so much that she would spend hours laid awake talking about the colourful patterns in the sky, the noises, the smells and anything else firework related. It went on for months and in the end my Dad decided to treat her to a small display for News Years Eve, E was over the moon and stood by the window whooping and clapping at the display.
The kids have been lucky this year, they have attended three Firework displays in the past week all of which they have had dry weather for. J has really improved in his tolerance of the noise, he is now able to watch a display with only a few ‘hands over ears’ moments and generally seems to enjoy himself. E is still totally nutty about everything firework related and was eager to make her way to the front of each display she has attended, oooing and arring, eyes wide, enjoying each and every firework.
E loved having the chance to hold her own sparkler this year. Bless, she loved being given that little bit of independence. She is only three-years old and already seems so grown up, she insists on being called a ‘big girl’ these days, in reality she will always be my baby.
I hope you have all had a fantastic week, we have had so much to enjoy with Halloween, Bonfire Night and of course the fantastic autumn weather.

That’s great that you went to so many bonfire celebrations. We opted to watch from our bedroom window this year as Jake isn’t too good with loud noises since we had some work done earlier this year something I’m sure he will grow out of.
Of course E will always be your baby but it’s so lovely seeing our little ones grow in independence isn’t it, she looks so proud with her little sparkler.
Wow you’ve really made the most of Bonfire Night. We missed the big firework display this year as we were in Birmingham at the National Pet Show (we won a prize!), so I’m enjoying everyone else’s photos! #MySundayPhoto
Enjoy the pics my love x
