We’ve been home from our holiday for a few days now; I’ve finally managed to catch up on the masses of laundry which accumulated throughout our time away, I’ve restocked the pantry with food, caught up with a weeks worth of emails, wrapped and sent various eBay bundles, shopped till I dropped for gifts for our daughters upcoming birthday and have generally worked my backside off to get life back into some kind of order.
How is it that holidays fly by so fast? One moment you are running around packing cases and ticking things off lists like a woman possessed whilst the kids bounce around with excitement and the next you are loading the laundry and wondering what to cook for tea, whilst the kids return to bickering over random first world issues such as which channel the television happens to be playing.
I’m not particularly keen upon flying but whilst sat on the plane, counting down the minutes until landing I took the opportunity to snap this rather ‘blue sky shot’. It was the last photo taken during our time away and one which I will be sure to look back upon with a smile.
It may well be the wing tip of a budget airline but it was also the flight upon which my nerves finally seemed to settle and I was actually able to fly without fear. I’m not entirely sure what changed but with the aid of a good book, a pair of decent headphones and some chill out tunes I was relatively relaxed and as a result, I’m now looking forward to flying in the future.
Thanks again for reading #MySundayPhoto post, as always I look forward to catching up with your #MySundayPhoto pictures either through your own posts or comments upon this post.
