We’ve had one heck of a rough week, it feels as if we’ve ridden a never-ending emotional rollercoaster and I for one am exhausted.
As you may have read in my previous post, we lost our beloved basset hound Molly earlier this week, it was one of the hardest decisions we have ever made but we did the right thing in the end.
I wasn’t entirely sure whether we’d make it out with our friends this weekend, we certainly didn’t feel in the mood for socialising earlier in the week but we pulled ourselves together and packed our bags for a night under the stars or should I say clouds?
It felt really odd to be heading out with just our camping kit and our pup Maisy, it was easier I guess but certainly not what we had wished for. I would have loved to take Molly ‘one last time’ but it wasn’t to be.
Speaking of ‘last times’, this will be the last time we are able to head out to the woods with our friends from ‘down under’ as they head back to other side of the globe shortly. We’ve certainly made some memories with Lisa, Paddy and of course Vic and Mike over the past year, memories which I will treasure forever.
Given that my emotions are all over the shop at present, I’ll keep this post to a minimum. I would however like to express how grateful I am to both Lisa and Paddy for their wonderful support, conversation and company and wish them both the very best for their journey home.
“It’s not easy love, but you’ve got friends you can trust
Friends will be friends
When you’re in need of love they give you care and attention
Friends will be friends
When you’re through with life and all hope is lost
Hold out your hand ’cause friends will be friends
Right till the end”

This looks like fun, we keep meaning to go camping but it’s been too hot here
Thank you for linking up to #MySundayPhoto
That looks lovely. A camp fire at night in the wilderness.
