So without further ado, here are My Five Favourite Monthly Moments (#MFFMM) from July 2024
Let’s Play Politics
After what felt like forever, the nation was finally able to cast their votes at the National Election this month. I won’t share which way Paul and I veered, I will however admit that I was somewhat relieved when the results came in… It’s most definitely time for a change and whilst I’m well aware that politicians never fully follow through with each of their promises, I hold out real hope this time around.
The End of an Era
It’s been a real emotional rollercoaster this last month as E attended her final presentation ceremony, took part in her final sports day, had fun at her leavers beach BBQ, and later celebrated in style at the year six leavers party as she completed her final week in primary school.
J meanwhile completed year ten and as of September E will be joining him in secondary school as he carries out his final year and of course, the dreaded GCSE’s.
Perfectly Purple
It’s been a few months since Paul and I decorated and updated J’s room. This month, however, we finally completed the project by painting his wardrobe doors a perfect purple and all in all I’m really pleased with the finished result.
Out Out
July has certainly been a social month as I’ve attended various celebrations and events from E’s year six leavers party to beach BBQs, and my good friend Kirsty’s moving party; it’s been a never-ending string of socialising which has been a shock to the system nevertheless, has resulted in an array of enjoyable evenings.
A Fresh Start
July was the beginning of my new ‘work from home’ role and whilst I’m still learning the ropes, I love it! It feels so freeing to be able to use my own bathroom, to no longer have to drive to work, to no longer worry about the likes of road closures or floods or snow… it’s a whole new ball game and I’m so glad I made the leap.
Thanks for reading My Five Favourite Monthly Moments; I look forward to reading and catching up on your #MFFMM posts and comments.
