Given that my family and I are currently self-isolating thanks to me having symptoms of mild flu (a high temperature, aches and pains and a tight chest) I haven’t actually been out of the house since Thursday. I have therefore pinched a picture from my good friend J, who regularly posts and shares her scenic pictures which she shoots around our local area.

I haven’t been about much this week as I’ve been busy with family matters. Whilst I was away I kept my mind occupied by looking through pictures from the past including this shot of the shore which I took back in January. 

So much has changed since then, these past few months have gone by in the blur. Although things aren’t quite what they were (and I doubt they will ever be quite the same again) life is beginning to look the tiniest bit brighter.…

To say this week has been a rollercoaster is an understatement. I guess the idea of a rollercoaster would imply that life has been up, down, up, down but in reality, there haven’t really been many if any ups at all.

It’s been so long since we’ve seen snow that I’d almost forgotten what it looks like. Earlier this week the white stuff arrived and whilst it didn’t stay for long it was a lovely sight to see.

Sadly the kids didn’t get the chance to go sledging as before they were even able to get up, ready and dressed the snow had melted leaving slushy puddles in its absence.…

It’s been a wet, windy and wild half term. Though we’ve enjoyed the downtime, it would have been nice to get out and about without getting blown away.

Whilst out on a fruitless mission to find tile paint (to spruce up my kitchen tiles) I decided to take a detour to snap a few shots of the local area. Although the river in this picture appears to be deceptively calm, let me assure you that the boats were rocking and I myself was battling against the wind to stay stood upright!…
