Welcome to this week’s #MySundaySnapshot post, which is part of a snap-sharing-blog-linky series that you are very welcome to join. Click here for further information and guidelines on this linky should you wish to take part.
Storm Bert arrived with a vengeance this week; it’s wet, windy, and wild outside. Though we’ve mainly seen rain here where we live, others in our locality have had snow and ice resulting in treacherous driving conditions and a day off for the kids on Friday as the school buses opted to stay safe.
Though we had been looking forward to visiting the Dickensian Festival this year, Storm Bert soon changed our minds. Whilst I usually love wandering around in the crisp, winter weather sipping a mulled wine and scoffing mince pies, I’m not up for being blown or washed away, nor do I fancy skidding and slipping on the roads in an attempt to get there.
We’ve switched mince pies and mulled wine for mugs of hot chocolate, freshly made muffins, and our first Christmas film of the year – Klaus.

Bummer about the Dickensian Festival, but a cozy night in sounds lovely.
What a shame that the weather spoiled all the fun! We had snow in Gloucestershire on Tuesday and Wednesday, the the rain arrived on Saturday and the strong wind in the early hours of Sunday!
Even with the rain it’s very beautiful!
