#MySundaySnapshot – Better To Be With Than Without 43/52 (2019)

Welcome to this week’s #MySundaySnapshot post, which is part of a snap-sharing-blog-linky series that you are very welcome to join. Click here for further information and guidelines upon this linky should you wish to take part.

I’m all for blue-sky thinking, it’s great to be positive and I’m sure that it works wonders for many. However, I find realism a lot less disappointing to deal with. My husband is forever telling me that I’m too negative, whereas I prefer to consider myself as prepared.

It’s all very well looking at your glass as ‘half full’ but it’s even better to have another bottle in the fridge ready to refill that ‘half empty’ glass. See? Planning ahead is a useful quality, it’s not negative at all!

So when I see clouds in the sky, I think to myself ‘it may rain’ thus I’ve packed my coat in the car or I’ve already wrapped up warm for the inevitable. Should it become hot and sunny, I can always remove said coat, wrap it around my waist or use it as a picnic blanket should I fancy a sit-down.

After all, it’s better to be with than without…

I’m totally with you on this! My husband says I’m negative or a pessimist, I say I’m realistic!

That is a perfect silver lining, I can see a little bird too. I’m with you on this, I’m always classed as a glass half full person, but behind the scenes there is a hell of a lot of work into making it so. So I guess you could say I’m a ‘prepared optimistic’ I don’t rely on chance. I guess I just don’t show it to others, or people tend to see what they want to see. x
