It’s almost time to bid farewell to September, it may only be thirty days in length but my word has it felt like a long month!
I am loving the recent arrival of the autumn colours, I’m all for the golden yellows, deep reds, and Chesnut brown shades especially when cast against a bright, blue sky. Last weekend we were blessed with temperatures of twenty degrees and beautiful sunshine, it felt far better than the miserable grey skies and dank, wet weather which we seem to have suffered for the majority of what should have been summer.
This week we are back to wearing woolen jumpers and chunky boots, which suits my figure far more than slim, summerwear. I really ought to cut back on the calories and make a start on shedding some weight before Christmas comes but come the evening when I’m snuggled on the sofa, I’ve absolutely no motivation whatsoever.
Thankfully autumn allows me to hide in heavy jumpers, floaty cardigans and hope that my extra layers aren’t too noticeable!

What a beautiful photo. A few of the trees are starting to turn here, but most of them are still green. I definitely haven’t seen any that are nearly bare yet.

I noticed that the trees at the bottom of my garden are changing this week. I do love the colours of Autumn, and like you I feel that layers are good for hiding the bumps and lumps. We’ve had so much rain the last few days though, I used to love rain, but now it means I can’t go outside. I haven’t left the house all week. Although, I did sit in the garden for half hour the other day when it was sunnier.
There are floods everywhere and the rain is so heavy !
