Welcome to this week’s #MySundaySnapshot post, which is part of a snap-sharing-blog-linky series that you are very welcome to join. Click here for further information and guidelines upon this linky should you wish to take part.
It’s not been the easiest of weeks – I’m struggling massively with stress for many reasons. Firstly, I have ‘pandemic paranoia’, what with all four of us working and studying in not one but three schools – I feel it’s not if but when one of us starts with symptoms, and at this point, I can only pray that we stay safe.
Secondly, poor Dad took a turn for the worse earlier this week, it was a real shock and has knocked us all for six. It’s certainly made me rethink working on a full-time basis, as I now realise that I need and want to be able to provide some help and support for my folks through this nightmare and that just isn’t possible when I’m juggling a full-time job and two kids so things are now in the process of changing a little…
Finally, I myself have had to endure further investigatory blood tests which I am now nervously awaiting results from and I suspect that an MRI will follow shortly – oh it’s all fun and games in 2020 ay?
Considering the amount of stress which I am currently under, I often find myself zoning out or switching off entirely and just watching the world go by. It’s a lot easier than juggling all the rubbish which seems to bat around my brain (usually at unearthly hours) at present.
This weekend my husband very kindly collected this beautiful love seat which has now been placed at the front of our house so that we can sit, relax, enjoy a cup of coffee and watch the kids as they scoot, bike, and rally around the cul-de-sac without a care in the World.
Watching the kids as they play out at the front of the house has always been a standing job – either that or one of us will perch on the wall which isn’t entirely comfortable. From now on though, we can stick the kettle on and sit in comfort whilst we keep a close eye on the kids and take time to watch the world go by. Bliss!

Sorry to hear about your dad, hope he turns around. Things are very stressful & it’s hard working full time. I hope things calm & you can find a better balance. Hugs x
I am so sorry to hear that you are going through so much stress. It is such a great idea though to take just a few minutes to see the world go by, watching your children play is a wonderful way to do so. Wishing you a much better week.

Thanks so much
Sorry to hear that about your dad. It must be a real worry.
How lovely to have somewhere to sit and relax outside the front of your house.
It sure is
Sending love and hugs. It sounds like you’ve had a really rough week.
I hope your dad is OK and you manage to change things to help and your blood results come back OK and everything is well with you.
What a lovely way to relax and watch the world go by. x
