Welcome to this week’s #MySundaySnapshot post, which is part of a snap-sharing-blog-linky series – you are very welcome to join should you fancy partaking. Click here for further information and guidelines upon this linky should you wish to take part.
We celebrated my Mother-in-law’s official seventieth birthday last night by sharing a tasty takeaway with family. Having stuffed ourselves with spare ribs, chips, curries, and such-like I took a moment to grab some fresh air and couldn’t resist snapshotting this glorious sunset.
It had been a scorcher of a day, according to the news it was actually the hottest day of the year that we have had and that’s hardly surprising given that it’s September and the kids are all ‘back to school’. Speaking of ‘back to school’ the kids have both settled really well into their new year groups at school. I’m especially proud of E as she has had a fantastic first few days and, as I hoped, has made herself a couple of really lovely new friends and seems genuinely happy with the transition from primary to secondary. I cannot express the relief and pride that I feel as a parent at this point – it’s certainly reason to celebrate!
Thanks for reading my #MySundaySnapshot post, I look forward to catching up and sharing your #MySundaySnapshot pictures either through your own posts, social media shares or comments upon this post.

Beautiful sunset shot! Sounds like you have a lot to be proud of! Enjoy the rest of your week.
It’s great to hear that E has settled in so well to her new school. My niece has just made the transition too and the first couple of days have gone well.
That is a beautiful photo and I’m envious of your hot weather! Down south, it has been cold, wet and miserable. Definitely not typical back to school weather.
Great shot! Gorgeous1 Exciting times for your kiddos!
