Summer may be done and dusted but we’ve got plenty of happy memories from the holidays to look back upon. Our trip to Alton Towers still remains a firm favourite, it was an awesome day out which I wish we could do all over again.
Autumn has now arrived and I’ve already started putting plans together for up until Christmas. Paul and I have two gigs booked – Freya Ridings and Russell Kane, I’d also like to make a return to the ‘the Towers’ for an adults weekend away.
I now need to put some plans for the kids together so that they too have plenty to look forward to for the half term, though they seem quite content with a trip to the cinema, swimming baths or park which is easy enough!
We’ve got lots to look forward to with the new bay windows finally being fitted and then the upcoming kitchen, it’s just finding that work-play-DIY balance which I think may be a little tricky!

I recognised that instantly as Alton Towers! We went earlier this year and I must say I didn’t enjoy it much – that’s because I don’t like rides! My daughter and her friends had the best time though (and so did my husband).
