Welcome to this week’s #MySundaySnapshot post, which is part of a snap-sharing-blog-linky series that you are very welcome to join. Click here for further information and guidelines upon this linky should you wish to take part.
Due to covid and other commitments, it’s been a fair few years since we last visited the local agricultural show. Held on the final Saturday of each August, the local show features a range of cattle including horses, sheep, cows, and goats alongside dogs, crafts, sweet stalls, cake stalls, a range of children’s rides and entertainment, and the obligatory beer tent (which is usually our first port of call at these places).
Though there were no chickens to view this year, due to what I suspect may be the avian flu outbreak it was still a splendid sunshine-filled day with plenty to see and do. My personal highlight of the afternoon was spending time sampling the ‘Kick Ass’ cheese selection, two of which I later purchased and they are safe in my refrigerator, though not for long I assume…

It sounds like a lovely thing to do and what a beautiful day for it!
I do love cheese, I’d be buying some for sure. I’m glad you had a lovely day. We have a park festival today, but I’m not sure I’m well enough to go, I really hope that my husband can take my Little Man though. x
Ohh! I love an agricultural show! They’re always such a fun day out. It sounds like you had a fab day. x
I was going to go to our local show but didn’t bother in the end, as it was raining cats and dogs
