Welcome to this week’s edition of the #MySundaySnapshot blog series, a blog-linky to share snapshots which you are more than welcome to join. Click here for further information and guidelines upon this linky should you wish to take part.
This was a snapshot taken whilst on our holiday to Hersonissos… this was our view this time last week, it’s beautiful, right? I only wish these photos held happy memories, sadly our holiday was a week from hell after we witnessed a truly, tragic event which has since hit the headlines and I’m not quite sure will ever leave us.
Despite the god-awful circumstances, which I don’t wish to share at present, we tried to make the very best of a bad situation, which with a hire car and a great deal of effort we somehow managed to pull off. We were happiest whilst out and about; tootling along the Cretan coast, browsing the bars or pottering along the plethora of markets, shops, and stalls.
Hersonissos was a beautiful little resort despite having next to no parking whatsoever, we spent the majority of our time in town, far, far down the mountainside away from our accommodation. Whilst I wouldn’t revisit this resort or the island itself, it was stunningly scenic and I will share a few photos taken whilst on our travels over the next few weeks.
Here’s hoping that you and your family are having a super summer – we still have plenty planned to be getting on with and I’m already looking forward to our next little trip away, which with a little luck should be a bit better than the last.
Thanks for reading my #MySundaySnapshot post, I look forward to catching up and sharing your #MySundaySnapshot pictures either through your own posts, social media shares or comments upon this post.

So sorry to hear about this. It must have been awful. It just goes to show how much a photograph can hide. This photo just screams ‘lovely holiday’ at me. It’s good to hear you have lots of other nice plans for the summer.
Thanks Sarah – it wasn’t the holiday we’d wished for but we tried our best to still keep it fun for the kids (not easy!).
