Welcome to this week’s #MySundaySnapshot post, which is part of a snap-sharing-blog-linky series that you are very welcome to join. Click here for further information and guidelines upon this linky should you wish to take part.
Whilst I love the summer sunshine, it’s been a little bit too hot for my liking of late, so much so that both Paul and I have struggled to sleep. I’m therefore rather thankful for the greyer skies and the cooler temperatures that have graced us this weekend. I smelt the faint whiff of chimney smoke this evening and it got me thinking about autumn. I then spotted these beautiful red flowers backed by the almost autumnal, brown hedgerows, it certainly feels like the seasons are on the change once again.
Thanks for reading my #MySundaySnapshot post, I look forward to catching up and sharing your #MySundaySnapshot pictures either through your own posts, social media shares or comments upon this post.

It has been very hot lately, but I’m definitely not ready for autumn! We have these flowers in our garden, but they always remind me of Cornwall because there’s a lot blooming in the hedgerows when we usually go on holiday.
That is an amazing and gorgeous flower? Do you know what it is?
I’m sorry I don’t – I love flowers but I’m useless at naming them.
Well spotted with my other blog. I actually have four but now only use two. The Church Explorer comes out once week as it takes ages to write. Your not the only one having trouble sleeping, my wife is the same, I just go out like a light
What a magnificent bloom – both shape and colour!
Beautiful exotic (to me) flowers!
What a beautifully written post! I love how you’ve captured the subtle shift from summer to autumn, even in August. The imagery of red flowers against the brown hedgerows is stunning and really evokes that early autumn feel. Your words make me look forward to the cooler, cozier days ahead. Thanks for sharing this lovely moment!
