Welcome to this week’s #MySundaySnapshot post, which is part of a snap-sharing-blog-linky series that you are very welcome to join. Click here for further information and guidelines upon this linky should you wish to take part.
Being a Brit, I am naturally inclined to moan about the weather from time to time, it’s in my DNA… Though I’d never usually whinge about the hot weather, I couldn’t help but moan somewhat when the temperature reached 30 degrees celsius earlier this week. Other than a small fan and having the windows pushed wide open, I had next to nothing to keep me cool throughout the night thus sleep was almost impossible as I tossed and turned in a lather of sweat.
Unlike Spain, Portugal, France or many other countries within Europe, us Brits don’t have aircon nor do we opt to take mid-afternoon siestas in the peak of the heat. No, we choose to sweat profusely and to soldier on, either that or we give up entirely and throw ourselves into the nearest pool of cold water available, whether that be a lovely lake, a paddling pool, or in some cases (as I’ve seen on social media this week) a skip filled by a hose pipe…
I’m incredibly lucky to have the luxury of a chlorinated hot cold tub which we’ve spent the majority of our time this week dipping in out of. My friend Karl however braved the incredibly hot and sticky elements and took himself on a hike in order to find the ideal swimming location, where he took some stunning snapshots which he very kindly shared with me and I offered to feature on this week’s #MySundaySnapshot post.
Thanks for reading my #MySundaySnapshot post, I look forward to catching up and sharing your #MySundaySnapshot pictures either through your own posts, social media shares or comments upon this post.

What a beautiful scene. It has been rather hot this week. The cold tub sounds very nice.
Oh Lordy it has been!
That is a stunning lake, although, truth be known, I’d rather be in your hot tub if I was getting wet.
It’s all empty and cleaned out now whilst our kitchen gets underway. I almost wept saying goodbye to it for a few weeks today lol
