Welcome to this week’s #MySundaySnapshot post, which is part of a snap-sharing-blog-linky series that you are very welcome to join. Click here for further information and guidelines upon this linky should you wish to take part.
We should be expecting a heatwave with temperatures of at least thirty degrees celsius in the coming week according to the Met Office. Whether this so-called heatwave materialises is yet to be seen for us northerners as so far we’ve seen the sun but it’s been way too breezy to feel any heat. Whilst I hope the temperatures do rise, I’m not entirely keen on spending the beautiful weather stuck in a hot, sticky classroom.
Either way, I’ll be sure to load up with the factor fifty and to stay in the shade as being ginger I am genetically disadvantaged when it comes to exposure to the sun. I never tan – I just burn and my skin turns a dark shade of pink or lobster red, still pink can be pretty when it comes to flowers (like this lovely snapshot I took earlier this week), if only the same could be same for my milk-bottle-white skin!
Thanks for reading my #MySundaySnapshot post, I look forward to catching up and sharing your #MySundaySnapshot pictures either through your own posts, social media shares or comments upon this post.

What a beautiful flower!
I hope the heatwave isn’t too bad for you and you manage to avoid burning. Strangely, I wear factor 50, but still manage to tan, without trying.
Your heatwave sounds quite scary – i heard about it on the news. Good luck and stay cool…or hydrated.
Such a pretty flower, mine are all looking a bit bewildered in the heat even though I’m watering them regularly. We are definitely getting the heatwave here, and It’s not that pleasant for a non sun lover. x
Well if your up north then you are better off than we are down south, I’m not looking forward to 40deg of heat which will be higher in our garden. I have dark hair (well grey now) and my arms are tanned but I stay out of the sun trying to keep the house cool inside. I love the photo, did you use a camera or phone
I used a very very good phone !
What a beautiful flower.
I am dreading this heatwave. It’s just gone up to 31C here. Eek! I’ve stocked up on ice lollies and I am planning on spending the next 2 days inside. x
