With less than a week to go before the summer holidays kick start, the kids aren’t alone in getting a little giddy at the concept of a holiday, I too am rather looking forward to some time out. I can’t wait to be able to switch the alarm clock off, throw the lunchboxes into the cupboard and to rule out routine for a while.
It’s not too long now before we jet off to Crete for a week in the sun, though I’ve so much to do before then in terms of booking parking, packing suitcases and the dreaded task of sorting through the suntan lotions, shampoos, and various solutions ready for decanting into mini travel bottles to pass the liquid allowance. It’ll all be worth it I’m sure.
Until then, we have our very own beach to enjoy right here at home. Here’s hoping that the wind dies down a bit and those blue skies make a comeback!
Little darling, it seems like years since it’s been here
Here comes the sun, and I say
It’s all right”
